Capturing Myself

365 days | Behind the lens (day 76)

Location: Kunhar River

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Little Brown Doves

Location: Mango tree at my home

I watch
the slender figure
nestle down
into leaves brown
pulling them
with tiny beak
lovingly close
one by one
for comfort
from cold

feeling warm
and safe from harm
in home
of the moment
its tired eyes
slowly close

I watch
this symbol of peace
and wonder
of its mourning song
sung for our world
each morning

Faisal Mosque at Night

Location: Islamabad

The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.  AL-TAWBA 009:018

The centipede was happy quite, until a toad in fun Said, 'Pray which leg goes after which?' That work'd her mind to such a pitch, She lay distracted in a ditch, considering how to run.

Let's build...

Last night’s lightning

Last night was great from many aspects. I had a chance to meet few old friends, had a great dinner, some fun stuff as well but besides all that, there was some thing else that made the night incredible for me.
At about 02:00 AM, I was working and my room’s door suddenly opened followed by a burst of cold wind giving storm alert. The very next moment I was on the roof with a tripod, camera and my laptop. One and a half hour of seeking advises and clicking, resulted in a lightning joy, about 30 rubbish shots and some thing I was looking for… A happy ending 🙂
